My name is Valentina Rizzo.
I was born in 1990 in Ferrara, Italy.
I’ve been passionate about drawing and painting since I was a child.
I consider the creative act as a result of our perception of the world:
an integration tool, that favors the discovery of ourselves in intimate relation whith the external, through which we can interact and reveal new ways of thinking. In my work, decorative harmony and poetic feeling have a strong power of attraction and communication.
I compare my interest for details to the gesture of revealing new realities that are far away from the common view. I’m aware that my reflection is always a small part of the whole, therefore I’m always open to the endless possibilities of the exploration. I’m fashinated by the many opportunities opened by the expressive tools in their constant experimentation.
I commit myself to the illustration in attempt to approach in more ways than possible to a dialogue with the text and to a relation with the word.
I firmly believe in the power of Art and in its capacity to improve the world, in order to preserve places of poetry and reflection, especially where the poetry seems wasted and consumed. I also believe in the high task of the artist and in their capacity to lead everyone, both sceptics and timorous, to a great fantasy revolution.
